New planner's guide launched
Melbourne (akm) - The Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau (MCVB) has launched the Melbourne Planner’s guide 2010/11 featuring new and expanded sections detailing the destination’s incentive offerings, proposed itineraries and the region of Victoria’s Business Events products and services.

American exhibition industry is still underperforming

Shanghai (akm) - The German pavilion Balancity at Expo 2010 in Shanghai has captured an award at one of the biggest and most highly regarded international design competitions. For its contextual and architectural realisation of the Expo motto “Better City, Better Life” it has received the Red Dot Award: Communication Design in the Event Design category.
High-impact event
Rimini’s new Palacongressi convention centre will now be inaugurated September 25, 2010. The two-week postponement is prompted by a desire to offer a high-impact inaugural event.
Since August 2010 the venue Jaarbeurs Utrecht has had two on-site charging points for visitors to charge their electric vehicles. The public charge spots for electric transport, called NRGSPOTs, use eco-electricity and the 'OV-Chipkaart' (smart card) as a payment and identification system.

To keep Resale in Baden-Württemberg, as from 2011 Messe Karlsruhe and Landesmesse Stuttgart will organise the show as a joint venture. United, they are taking on Cologne's new trade fair Usetec.
