Shanghai (se) - The first edition of Aquatech China exceeded all expectations: The inaugural edition of Aquatech China, held May 21 to 23, 2008 in the Shanghai Mart, was deemed a great success by exhibitors and visitors alike, organisers Amsterdam RAI state. The international exhibition for process, drinking and waste water hosted over 291 exhibitors, representing all major international and national brands in the industry, and was visited 14,120 times by water professionals from all over the world. The next Aquatech Amsterdam will take place September 30 to October 3 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Singapore (se) - This week, 67,573 people came to Communic Asia and Broadcast Asia in Singapore - to showcase and to view the latest technologies. Of the total number of attendees, 52 percent came from outside of Singapore, hailing from about 100 countries and regions across Asia-Pacific, Europe, US and the Middle-East, organisers Singapore Exhibition Services report. The event spread over eight halls, totaling 72,000 square metres of floor space. More than 2,300 exhibiting companies from 61 countries and regions were on display. Communic Asia and Broadcast Asia will be back at Singapore Expo from June 16 to 19, 2009.

Shanghai (se) - Propak China is one of the leading professional exhibitions for all processing and packaging machinery, materials and related technology. It is strategically located in Shanghai, China’s business centre and the heart of China’s manufacturing industries for these sectors and will take place July 9 to 11, 2008. In 2007, the fair brought together 517 companies from 24 countries, the organisers, China International Exhibitions, Shanghai, report. The exhibition attracted 13,801 trade visitors, over 26 % of which came from 80 countries outside China.

Dubai (se) - This year Domotex Middle East closed with growth in both exhibitor numbers and attendance. 280 exhibitors (2007: 269 exhibitors) from 36 nations presented their products and new lines at the International Trade Fair for Carpets and Floor Coverings. During the three-day exhibition from May 25 to 27, 2008 6,430 professional attendees (2007: 6,326) gained a comprehensive overview of the various product areas, organisers Deutsche Messe, Hanover report.

Rimini (se) - The first edition of Gem World, a b2b expo dedicated to precious stones and related products, ended on June 9. There was an air of optimism and satisfaction at the exhibition's first edition: companies and buyers taking part appreciated and shared the commitment of Rimini Fiera which, with Assogemme, believed in and highlighted the precious stone sector in a unique manner. 2,583 trade members, 213 of whom were from abroad, took part in the three-day event and visited the about 80 exhibitors. The second edition will be held from June 6 to 8, 2009.

Geneva (se) - The results of the 78th Geneva International Motor Show which ran March 6 to 16 at Geneva Palexpo were particularly positive: with nearly 715,000 admissions, the organisers exceeded their goal. The show received a very positive response from the media, enjoyed a high attendance by the general public and the exhibitors were satisfied. The 2009 event will be held from March 5 to 15.
